Reschedule a project with Push & Pull

Shift a whole stretch of your schedule forward or backward in one step.

When a date moves, you rarely move just one event — everything after it usually shifts too. Push & Pull does that in one step.

  • Push moves dates later (forward in time).

  • Pull moves dates earlier (backward in time).

Shift from a single event

  1. Right-click the event you want to pivot on and choose Push or Pull.

  2. Enter the number of days to shift.

  3. Choose what else moves under Affect following events:

    • All following events — everything after this one shifts too.

    • Selected stages only — only events in the stages you pick.

    • This event only — just the one event.

  4. Optionally turn on Skip weekends and Skip holidays so the shift lands on working days. Events with their own Skip weekends setting always step over weekends, whatever you choose here. Turn Include notes off if your notes should stay put.

  5. Confirm — for example, Push 3 days.

The window shows a live count of what will move, like 'Moving 12 events and 3 notes'. If locked items sit in the range, it also says how many will not be moved.

Working in a filtered view? Push & Pull only moves events that are currently visible. If a Filter is active, events hidden by it stay exactly where they are — handy for sliding one party’s or stage’s timeline without touching anyone else’s dates. Locked events and notes are the other exception. They never move on Push & Pull, no matter what they match. Unlock them to include them.

Shift several events at once

Select multiple events first, then choose Push or Pull from the selection toolbar. Every selected event moves by the same number of days.

Changed your mind? Push & Pull is fully undoable with ⌘Z.
