Create a reusable template with Copy from Project

Reuse credits, parties, and stages for recurring clients or job types.

The Copy from Project allows you to use existing calendars as templates. It is the best way to build your own template library.

Build your template

Create a project with the credits, parties, and stages you want to reuse, for example for a recurring client or a common type of job. Keep your templates together in a dedicated folder (such as "Templates") in My Library or Team Library.

Copy it into a new project

  1. Start a new project and choose the Copy from Project tab.

  2. Pick the source under Copy from. The new project inherits its credits, parties, and stages.

  3. If the source has events and you want them too, leave Copy events on and set Start events from to the date the new schedule should begin. The events shift to start from that date. Turn Copy events off to copy only the structure.

  4. Click Copy & Open.

This lets you pre-fill common milestones and start them from any date you choose.
